Nine days Novena to the Infant Jesus of Prague

This devotion originated in the heart of St. Teresa of Avila (1582) and of St. John of the Cross (1591) who handed it over to the Carmelite Order as a spiritual treasure. In 1624 this devotion was revived in the Carmel of Prague.

FIRST DAY

O! Sweet Child Jesus, here at Your feet is a soul that, conscious of its nothingness, turns to You, who are all. I have so much need of Your help. Look on me, O! Jesus, with love and since You are all powerful, help me in my poverty.

By Your Divine Infancy, O! Jesus, grant me the the grace that I now ask (mention it) if it is according to Your will and for my true good. Do not look upon my unworthiness, but rather on my faith and show me Your infinite mercy.

Hymn of the most holy name of Jesus:

O, Jesus, it is sweet to remember You, true joy of the heart, but sweeter than honey, than anything is your presence. It is the most delightful song, the most joyous to the ear; it is the sweetest thought, Jesus, Son of God.

Hope of the repentent, benign with him who ask, good with him who seeks, how could one describe finding You? The spoken word cannot describe, nor the written word express, only he who has experienced can believe what it is to love Jesus. O Jesus, be our joy and one day be our eternal rest; in You is our glory now and forever. Amen.

V/ Blessed be the name of the Lord.
R/ Now and forever.

Prayer: O God, who has appointed Your only begotten Son as Saviour of the human race, and wished that He be called Jesus, grant us to be able one day, to contemplate Him face to face in Heaven whose Holy Name we venerate on earth. Amen.

SECOND DAY

O Splendour of the heavenly Father, in whose face shines the light of the divinity, I adore You profoundly and I confess You as the true Son of the living God. I offer You, O Lord, the humble homage of all my being. Grant that I may never separate myself from You, my highest good.

By Your Divine Infancy, O! Jesus, grant me the the grace that I now ask (mention it) if it is according to Your will and for my true good. Do not look upon my unworthiness, but rather on my faith and show me Your infinite mercy.

THIRD DAY

O Holy Child Jesus, in gazing upon Your countenance, from which comes the most beautiful of smiles, I feel myself filled with a lively trust. Yes, I hope for all from Your goodness. Shed, O Jesus, on me and on those dear to me Your smile of grace and I will praise Your infinite mercy.

By Your Divine Infancy, O! Jesus, grant me the the grace that I now ask (mention it) if it is according to Your will and for my true good. Do not look upon my unworthiness, but rather on my faith and show me Your infinite mercy.

O Child Jesus, whose forehead is adorned with a crown, I accept You as my absolute sovereign. I do not wish to serve any longer the evil one, my passions or sin. Reign, O Jesus over this poor heart and make it all Yours for ever.

FIFTH DAY

I gaze upon You, O Most Sweet Redeemer, dressed in a mantle of purple. It is Your royal attire. How it speaks to me of blood! That Blood which You have shed solely on my account. Grant, O Child Jesus that I may respond to Your great sacrifice and not refuse, when You offer me some difficulty, to suffer with You and for You.

By Your Divine Infancy, O! Jesus, grant me the the grace that I now ask (mention it) if it is according to Your will and for my true good. Do not look upon my unworthiness, but rather on my faith and show me Your infinite mercy.

SIXTH DAY

O Most Lovable Child, in contemplating You as You sustain the world, my heart fills with joy. Among the innumerable beings that You sustain I also am one. SEVENTH DAY

On Your breast, O Child Jesus, shines a Cross. It is the standard of our redemption. I also, O Divine Saviour, have my cross, that, although light, very often weighs me down. Help me to bear it and may the carrying of it be fruitful. You well know weak and worthless I am.

EIGHTH DAY

Together with the cross, I see on Your breast, O Child Jesus, a little golden heart. It is the image of Your heart, which is truly golden on account of its infinite tenderness. You are the true friend, that generously gives Himself, even immolates Himself, for the one He loves. Continue to pour out on me, O Jesus, the enthusiasm which Your love inspires and teach me to respond always to Your great love.

NINTH DAY

How many blessings, O Little Child has Your almighty right hand poured out on those who honour You and call upon You. Bless me also, O Child Jesus, my soul, my body and my interests. Bless and help me in my necessities, and grant me what I now desire. Listen with compassion to my prayers and I will bless Your Holy Name every day.

Prayer of Thanksgiving for Graces Received from the Infant Jesus of Prague

I kneel before Your holy image,
O most gracious Infant Jesus,
to offer You my most fervent thanks
for the blessings You have bestowed on me,
I shall incessantly praise
Your overwhelming mercy and confess that You
alone art my God, my helper, and my protector.
My entire confidence shall be placed in You!
Everywhere I will proclaim aloud
Your mercy and generosity,
so that Your great love and the great deeds
which You grant through this miraculous image
may be acknowledged by all.

May devotion to Your holy infancy
increase more and more
in the hearts of all Christians,
and may all who experience Your assistance
persevere with me in showing unceasing gratitude
to Your most holy Infancy,
to which be praise and glory forever.
Amen.

Divine Infant Jesus,
I know you love me
and would never leave me.
I thank you for your close presence in my life.
Miraculous Infant,
I believe in your promise
of peace, blessings, and freedom from want.
I place every need and care in your hands.
Lord Jesus,
may I always trust
in your generous mercy and love.
I want to honour and praise you,
now and forever.
Amen.

Blessed is the man who fears the LORD

Psalms 112: 1 - 2, 4 - 5, 9
1Praise the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in his commandments!
2His descendants will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.
4Light rises in the darkness for the upright; the LORD is gracious, merciful, and righteous.
5It is well with the man who deals generously and lends, who conducts his affairs with justice.
9He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures for ever; his horn is exalted in honor.

Greater Love and Appreciation for the Rosary

O Lord Jesus Christ,
our mediator with the Father,
Who has been Pleased to appoint
the Most Blessed Virgin, Your mother,
to be our mother also,
and our mediatrix with You,
mercifully grant that whoever comes to You
seeking Your favours may rejoice
to receive all of them through her.
Amen.

Mary, Our Lady Undoer of Knots

A favorite devotion of Pope Francis,"Mary .... is the mother who patiently and lovingly brings us to God, so that he can untangle the knots of our soul ...".

Mother of the Rising Sun, Immaculate, our Advocate, Helper in moments of affliction, Mother of God and made by Him our Mother, this is how Mary, Undoer of Knots is presented. Above all, She comes as the Queen of Mercy, the one who knows all about us, who has compassion for us and hurries to rescue us, praying for each one of us to Her beloved Jesus.

The Knots of Our Lives

Our lives have knots that can seem impossible to untie: Marriage troubles, money problems, unemployment, illness, loneliness, fears, and worries of all kinds. When we find ourselves facing challenges and seem to have no solutions, there is a devotion we can turn to that unties the knots for us so that we might, in the words of
Pope Francis, better unite with God and serve him always. The devotion to Mary as Undoer of Knots is recent; its only been around for about thirty years. Pope Francis is credited with bringing it to Argentina. From there, the devotion spread to Brazil and is now spreading throughout the Catholic world.

Prayer to Our Lady Undoer of Knots

Virgin Mary, Mother of fair love, Mother who never refuses to come to the aid of a child in need, Mother whose hands never cease to serve your beloved children because they are moved by the divine love and immense mercy that exists in your heart, cast your compassionate eyes upon me and see the snarl of knots that exist in my life. You know very well how desperate I am, my pain, and how I am bound by these knots. Mary, Mother to whom God entrusted the undoing of the knots in the lives of His children, I entrust into your hands the ribbon of my life. No one, not even the Evil One himself, can take it away from your precious care. In your hands there is no knot that cannot be undone. Powerful Mother, by your grace and intercessory power with Your Son and My Liberator, Jesus, take into your hands today this knot.

(mention your petition here)

I beg you to undo it for the glory of God, once for all. You are my hope. O my Lady, you are the only consolation God gives me, the fortification of my feeble strength, the enrichment of my destitution, and, with Christ, the freedom from my chains. Hear my plea. Keep me, guide me, protect me, O safe refuge! Amen.
